What started as a weekend project in a small Denver garage quickly turned into a dedicated pursuit. We wanted to understand every detail of auto detailing, from proper washing techniques to paint correction methods, all while learning the tools and chemistry involved.
Denver Detailing was born out of a simple observation: many car owners struggled to find reliable, thorough care for their vehicles. Our founder, a lifelong automotive enthusiast, began detailing friends' cars in his driveway, experimenting with different compounds and techniques. Word spread, and demand grew. In 2018, we opened our first dedicated space in Denver. Every vehicle that arrived taught us something new about paint structure, fabric care, and protective coatings. We documented our methods, refined our approach, and built a process that prioritized consistency and transparency. Today, that same curiosity drives our work.
During our early days, we discovered that auto detailing is as much about chemistry as it is about technique. Different paint types respond differently to compounds; fabric fibers require specific pH levels; and even the best tools need proper maintenance to avoid introducing scratches. We learned to test every product on inconspicuous areas before full application, and we realized that thorough documentation of each step helps replicate good results. Client feedback also taught us the importance of setting realistic expectations. Every lesson became a building block for the structured approach we use today, one that prioritizes methodical testing and continuous learning over quick fixes.
